Ga coffins: a Peacock

A customer in the US had wanted a Ga coffin for a long time and was delighted to find them for sale on the web. She ordered a peacock - but peacocks are not a West African bird.  Finally we found that the Indian embassy kept a few as pets and the artisans were allowed to spend some time observing them.  They combined this research with photos in magazines and produced this spectacular bird. Ben, a well known artist, was brought in to do the  paintwork

Ga coffins: an African Ferrari

In 2003 a Russian art gallery commissioned a wide range of pieces for an exhibition in Moscow. The apprentice carpenters Samuel and Daniel created some magical pieces. One of them was this Ferarri.

There were no Ferraris in Accra but Samuel and Daniel worked entirely from photographs.  As usual their attention to detail combined with the clever paintwork created a Ferrari that captured the spirit of the real thing. If you want to race into the afterlife this is the way to go!
